hey Guys

As you know the iphone 4 stock is pathetic and all the stock most of the stores did have are now all gone.

If you know of a store(MTN,istore or vodacom) that has stock please tell us on this topic.I called MTN Brooklyn in PTA on Thursday and they said they had no stock and were going to order more on Monday and once they have they will call me,so as soon as I get the call I will list it.

I am looking for other stores that have stock though because I cant wait....I Need help :wtf:

Vodacom Centurion Mall - NO STOCK.
Vodacom Irene Mall - NO STOCK.

reply was "...Vodacom did not send us stock and we don't know when we will recieve any, maybe next week..."

yip, got the mesage & the phone call - but the VC agent didn't had a clue about the package options etc. - totally useless - told her I will be going to MTN instead...

IMO i would not switch to MTN, especially to use as your actual line....

From my understanding MTN have not taken the necessary development steps to get the iPhone setup on their network. From my understanding they have no idea of VVM or even a dedicated iPhone APN. If you are merely going to use the contract to get the phone and then use a VC sim, i would say okay. But honestly i am not a MTN fan and i think that they have under estimated how different an iPhone is to a Samsung etc.

If you had to go to VC, they have a decent special on the Top-up 275s with 110MB of data and the 16GB iPhone 4 for R379.00 all inclusive..... Similar to MTN`s deal....

Not to doubt your knowledge but I have no idea what you are saying and my iphone works perfectly on the mtn network.

Managed to get the last iPhone 4 at Vodacom 4U shop in Centurion Mall yesterday afternoon. It's for a friend since I already got mine last week Tuesday evening. Anyone looking for stock, I would suggest trying the lesser known out of the way shops...

They are getting them tomorrow at Vodashop and Cellucity at the V&A Waterfront. Apparently you need to be there round 5pm first come first served.

I don't mind giving out this information since I got mine yesterday!! :D

If you're on MTN and upgrade via the retentions department (call 808 and ask to speak to retentions), they do have stock.

I tried all MTN retail stores in Sandton, Fourways, Bryanston and Rivonia and none of them had the 32GB in stock. Some had the 16GB in stock.

I upgraded the contract with them and the phone was delivered to me the next day (today).

My only complaint is that they did not have stock of the micro-sim, so now I have to pay for that (R135) at any MTN retail store. And they don't know anything about free bumper covers (Vodacom is definitely giving those away; a friend at work got one - not bad).

Looks like Dion Wired shops might have stock. I've seen a couple of messages on Twitter about them offering Vodacom upgrades.

PS. I haven't checked myself, so not 100% sure if this is true.

Also got that tweet - according to which all dionwired stores now have stock. Will contact them later today.

Dion Wired @ Centurion Lifestyle - NO STOCK.

Standard reply : "maybe next week, we don't know."
