iPhone 4 to arrive mid August

from a reliable source at vodacom revieled that the iphone 4 will be availible for purchase on the 3rd October...

Thanks. But that would be pretty embarrassing for the CEO who said end of September. The 3rd of October is definitely not the end of September.

Also, why would they start selling it on a Sunday?

Didn't they do it on a sunday as well with the Iphone 3G/3Gs...?
 
It was a friday for both previously, overseas Apple also launches products on a friday.
Looking at whats left of the month its either this week or the week after cos next week friday is a holiday.
If they launch it the evening of the 30th September its still within the month and you'll be able to buy it the next day most likely.
 
Got my 4 last week its great waiting on tpu case and lcd protector

My feeling as well at the moment.
 
I went into a vodashop that i know well and asked when it will be arriving. They said they have ordered there stock and expect it next week although it could be as early as this friday!? They will call me on friday to confirm availibility for me.

If cellucity is not on the ball, can i upgrade my current Iphone contract at a vodashop or does it have to stay with cellucity?

A little ol Vodashop in George; probably wont help you "Gauties" much ;) I got my first iPhone from then on launch too
 
i must say this waiting is very annoying. thinking of getting the galaxy s this week.
