We are actually in complete agreement and I guess we'll be able to continue this conversation when Samsung, or whoever, drop their first biometric phone. Tech like this has become opt-in and lets face it, most of us have done that already... Seems a little illogical for me to be up in arms about it well after that fact.
Imagine apps used it for verification... i.e. imagine fnb needed pwd + finger? or at atm it asks you to read finger from your opt in phone? Better yet.. do we need passwords that are unique when you need biometric too? <-- i would totally opt in for this... i.e. authenticate logins with biometric + pwd instead of rolling code through google/apple (handful only), other smaller sites all linked to those profiles
