No of course, more megapixels=better camera. End of story really.

Enlighten me.

OFC you get different sensor sizes and that, but at the end of the day resolution counts.

It's not really my job to enlighten you. There's a pretty good article that I posted earlier in the thread over here:

In the end all that counts are the actual photos that a camera can produce. Sensor size is far more important than MP count for real image quality - hence the Panasonic DMC CM1 making a feature out of its 1-inch sensors (actually technically that would make it the best camera on a phone as it's near SLR class, but it's much more of a niche thing).

The higher the pixel density the more likely you're going to run into problems.

At the end of the day what counts the most is the optics.

So I'm getting the iPhone 6 tomorrow. I have a choice between the space grey and silver. At the moment I'm leaning more towards the silver. What are your thoughts?

Silver, I had the chance to check all the colours, and the silver is the classiest looking (and it's what I bought), the antenna bands look right on the silver while they are more noticeable on both space grey and gold.

Of course, you have to decide if you want a black or white front as well...

Thanks, I decided on the silver in the end. You're right, it definitely looks the classiest. Im currently using a cover so you cannot see the antenna bands.

I'm using a transparent case, I really like the look of the back. Might still get the blue Apple leather case though...

Why would there be such a media hype about this? People camping outside stores to get the first phones? As if they won't be there next week. How sad.

A lot of it is Chinese black market resellers too by the sounds of it.

If you want to print your photos in A1 or A0 then res counts but if you're looking at them on a PC/phone screen then it really doesn't.

If you are even vaguely suggesting that for instance a R4k phone with a 13mp sensor is going to take better (NOTE not bigger!) pictures than my Nikon D90 then I want some of the sh*t you are smoking my friend.

Apple is going after taking BETTER photos. Not BIGGER.

Firstly it's very far from 4K.

Secondly we are at the point where I'm certain a number of testers would fail blind testing selectice photos from mobile devices compared to DSLR.

Interesting times.
