You've always been able to snap a photo using the volume control, either on the handset or using headphones.
Using the headphones for family photos is the best, very nice feature to have.

...or using headphones.
There's a self timer on the new camera app too.
The actual size includes cached app data in this instance. The APK download is 23MB.
for example Facebook is about 66 megabytes, and on Android it's about half of that.
I240fps slo-mo are great additions.
Slow mo's are great but unfortunately lack quality on my 5s due to low res, what resolution will these on the iphone 6 be at?
Erm hm not sure.. the fps have been increased. The res on panoramas has also been increased quite a bit, up to 43mp.
Ok someone says this:
720p/240fps 1080p/60fps

There's probably some upscaling done to achieve 720p240. Our R120,000 slow motion camera can only do 240fps at 1080p, while at 480fps is upscaled from 480p to achieve 1080p.
Yea but but but focus pixels dude. Focus.Pixels. That's all I have to say on that.
It was a joke.
Nothing cached at all, I don't use Facebook, that was a straight install, I never even opened the app let alone signed in. Installed, checked size, uninstalled.
That is on a Note 3, try it yourself on your phone and see what size it shows...
Also, the .apk size is immaterial, the conversation related to the size of the app on iOS and android. The app size is around 66MB on both, that is a fact.
It looks like the camera improvements in the 6 and more so in the 6+ are truly impressive over the 5s. The focus pixels seem to work beautifully (marketing terminology aside), and the timelapse and 240fps slo-mo are great additions. Also the new iOS8 photo app which gives more direct input to the camera's technical settings makes a noticeable difference, especially to variable exposures. Night imaging is improved, stability is improved... If you use the phone as a camera (and let's face it, the camera is becoming more important on a phone than the phone calling), the 6/6+ are a very justifiable upgrade.

But the megapixel resolution will always be the drawback once other manufacturers employ larger micron-pixel sensors.
