iPhone 6s

Have any of you guys had issues with 6S freezing with unlock screen? My customer is freaking out. Told him to go to istore and see if they have suggestions, but seems this is not isolated to just his phone?

Mine does this as well from time to time. Not as often as in the thread above though. Its like it lags while the CPU kicks into gear.

I am having another odd issue with swift-key. Now and again the keyboard isn't rendered properly, half of the bottom row is cut off.

I haven't seen this many bugs since my Samsung S3.

Quite a conclusion on the final words page.

Overall, after spending all this time with the iPhone 6s I can’t find anything really wrong with this phone.

On the contrary, the A9 SoC is a huge jump in performance even relative to other SoCs on the same process node to give impressive application performance.

The storage solution is unlike anything else in mobile that I’ve seen so far.

The camera’s overall user experience is just about the best that you can get on the market. 3D Touch is a big improvement in user experience, while TouchID v2 and always-on Siri are worthwhile improvements in user experience.

The only real issues I can think of are that the iPhone 6s doesn’t have OIS and that the base SKU is still 16GB of storage. To be fair, the 16GB SKU can become a noticeable user experience issue if you're constantly dealing with the limits of this storage, and the jump from 16 to 64 GB feels like it's simply designed to encourage buying a more expensive SKU. There are arguments that users that don't really take a ton of photos or videos and stream all their media will be fine, but it's still a user experience problem in this day and age.

However, despite these issues I would argue that the iPhone 6s’ are the best phones you can buy today.

Just asking these guys have no history of Apple biasness? Some fanboys may say that after reading a praising conclusion like that.

The review is 15 pages long, they seem to do quite a good job of backing up their conclusions with some seriously indepth testing.

The author does state that he's an android user in the review...

The findings are also very empirical, they even go as far as running tests that no other sites sites have even tried before.

Fab boys will always bend the truth to feed their own biases but it's hard to ignore the evidence presented in the article.

The founder of the site Anand now works for Apple as an engineer in their SOC (cpu) department but is no longer affiliated with the site. If anything it just serves to prove their technical prowess.

iPhones have always been the best phones one can buy.

Just wanted to see if anyone is really happy with their 6s+? Seeing lots of complaints with lag and screen blemishes. This will be my first iPhone and want to get the general consensus on who is happy with theirs.

Can't weigh in much since I have a 6S but lag issues seem to really apparent on the + model. If I remember correctly it's a scaling issue with iOS and in any event 9.2 is out soon, which seems to fix most lag issues (even though that's what they said about 9.1!). For what it's worth, I really love my phone - I believe at current it is the best flagship one can buy, as always new devices bring along complaints but I've had 0 issues so far...

Upgraded to Iphone 6S+ this past weekend. Been trying everything on it the past week and haven't gotten any lag as yet. Really happy with it.

Thats good to hear. Seems like its a hit and miss. Hoping for a hit. :)

Honestly havent had a single issue with mine, lightning fast and doesnt skip a beat (6s)
I am really impressed so far......

I had a funny issue with my 6s today. I was trying to log onto wifi in a coffee shop using their username and password, but I couldn't enter any text into the username field. It was fine with the password though.

So i clicked on the username text box and it would be highlighted, but the keyboard wouldn't appear. Clicking on password was okay with the keyboard appearing and text entering just fine. I restarted a couple of times and tried 100 different ways to enter the username including cutting and pasting from a note, but no luck.

This was in Starbucks and I thought it might be their problem (for some reason, I was desperate) so I went to another coffee shop and tried the same thing there but same result. Could select the username text box but no keyboard appeared and even if I entered the password first and then clicked in the username field with the keyboard still on the screen, it was like it wasn't there and I couldn't enter any text.

My bud with a Galaxy S4 was just fine btw.

Mine has occasional stutter, nothing worth noting. It's unusual for an iOS device but nothing worse than you'll see on other platforms.

I'm sure it will be fixed with software as I find iOS 9.1 to still be a tad buggy. My calendar often crashes when I accept calendar events.

Overall I'm very happy I took the plus over the smaller model. Just wish more apps supported landscape. Also the mail app in landscape mode is stupid. You get a landscape keyboard but the mail is still in portrait.

I have exactly the same issue with the hotspot in the gym, with both my 5s and my 6s plus. So most probably an ios bug...

Have you noticed if it is a recent thing with latest iOS 9.1 or has it been for a while? Just hoping it's gets fixed with the next update.
