Sadly, you can say the exact same thing about Google, Microsoft (not really hipster) and even Canonical (Ubuntu). Maybe someone should start a tech company that has a company slogan that says "We will invade your privacy but at least you will look cool while we do it". I'll probably buy from them since i'll know in advance where I stand.

1. It's unlikely to fail. It's a Mac which has the highest build/solder/component quality (externally and internally).

2. Just pop the original RAM back in (if we are referring to the upgradeable entry level Mid-2012 MacBook Pro).

3. Otherwise just spec the MacBook Pro Retina to 16GB if need be.

4. OS X manages memory much better than Windows.

I read somewhere that said 7/10 iOS users have a CC linked to their account. Android is 3/10 I think.

Work hard and save up, then sell that Android with its measly resale value while you still can, to put towards the purchase of your new 6s/6s Plus via classifieds. Or go second hand, Apple users tend to look after their stuff. Your purchase won't depreciate much, so once again you score big time.

Bet you were the same with your Blackberry devices.

Android flagships cost just as much, and many wealthier people buy them. To me it seems that there is a larger proportion of wealthier people and families that Apple exclusively. I would say that this makes sense due to the higher cost of the products (but higher resale value), etc.

No, more people have Android devices so it's not really something they talk about.

People with Apple devices generally think they are cooler, hipper, etc. for choosing it. It's the BMW of the phone world - decent products but the owners are annoying and give the brand a bad impression.

I know more people have Android devices, because Android caters for the entire market. I'm referring specifically to high-end devices which are not catering for the entire market. iPhone is the most popular high-end smartphone, and most of the users have better than average affordability, perhaps due to better education or job, etc., which is why they are popular. Android is more popular because people who earn less can afford it.

I find all your interpretations/beliefs quite ridiculous, those about people being excited to afford, people thinking they're cooler, hipper, etc. All you are doing is describing a mentality of many modern, typically wealthy people, who sadly get the most airtime in this modern world. This mentality knows no brand, and people are just as boastful for other branded high-end devices.

The ones who give the worst impression of all must be the militant Android users who criticise iPhone at any opportunity, and mostly wealthy/educated/employed peoples' decision, en masse, to buy iPhone.
