iPhone Cellular disconnections ?

hello mybroadband. a friend has been having problems with his iPhone he complains about his cellular signal cutting off out of no where. a reboot doesn't help! is it because of the iPhone software bug? he did update 2 days ago and he has just put his sim back into his phone and it seems to work now.

Don't know if this is relevant, but I have a few colleagues, with iPhone X'es, who regularly complain, they cannot phone me, all are on Vodacom contracts, I am on a Samsung Galaxy S8, due for an upgrade soon. I do not even get a missed call logged. They are the only persons who are having this problem that I am aware of.
