iPhone hacked

Amazing how you went from knowing nothing about anything to suddenly knowing exactly how MDM works.

MDM cannot access your camera or picture gallery.

MDM also cannot read your WhatsApp or other messenger platforms.

MDM cannot read your email, but your company provided email could be read by other means. Not your personal email.

MDM can only see your actual location data when put into lost mode and you would be aware of this as you couldn't take it out of lost mode without their intervention.

Safari also cannot be directly monitoring via MDM, but your company could have an enforced VPN in place from which they could track your usage.

MDM cannot see your contacts, but yes it can wipe them.
Well thanks for triggering a memory.
Yes I remember how MDM works.
MDM can switch on your camera or switch it off. I’ve seen it being done.
It can also switch off your camera based on your location, some countries don’t allow cameras on company premises.
WhatsApp is a business tool and communication in the work environment became very popular and is a popular messaging tool, it’s an information portal leak in any organisation. It’s monitored. There is a story about it being used at FNB I think.
Email can be accessed via MDM, company policy is enforced once MDM is loaded, even with MS exchange back in the day.
MDM constantly manages location. As I’ve said in some countries and some organisations your location determines what features of your device is enabled or disabled. Eg, when you arrive at work, your camera and WhatsApp is disabled.
Safari under MDM will have the same company policy as you have on your laptop.
MDM can see your contacts, it can remote wipe contacts linked to MS exchange and Lync, but can also manually deleted one contact at a time.
So if that’s your day job as you claim, you not that clued up hey...?

Besides Apple Keychain and some iCloud stuff (I dunno, maybe photos and nude photos to leak), what incentive does a person have to hack your Apple Account?
Incentives are extensive from what I’ve learnt. Contacts, email, communication and location is what they want.

A simple Google away, but also very simple to guess by putting appleid and apple.com together.

How you have survived this long is beyond me.
I’ve never used the website before, I’d it the find my iPhone website?

Yes it can MANAGE your camera turning the function on and off. It cannot actually use your camera.
It can also switch off your camera based on your location, some countries don’t allow cameras on company premises.

Prove it.

It cannot be monitored. It can be managed, but not monitored, at least not on an iOS device. I can't speak for the Android garbage which is full of holes.
Email can be accessed via MDM, company policy is enforced once MDM is loaded, even with MS exchange back in the day.
It cannot. Your email could be accessed by other means yes such as Exchange directly. There is no need for your company to access your email via MDM when they can just access it on their own server which they host.

They cannot access email they do no host themselves, unless it's some very dodgy non-secure email service and then only on their own network, not via MDM>
MDM constantly manages location. As I’ve said in some countries and some organisations your location determines what features of your device is enabled or disabled. Eg, when you arrive at work, your camera and WhatsApp is disabled.
MANAGES your location. It does not have access to the data. And no it does not use the location to turn it on and off dynamically, it's either permanently on or permanently off through the configuration profile.

What you can do is have a configuration profile that monitors things like what SSID you are using and when connected to something like turn off the camera, but you cannot use location data to turn the camera on and off.
Safari under MDM will have the same company policy as you have on your laptop.
No it does not, unless your laptop is a MacBook and then also not all options are universally the same as it's two different platform.

It still has no access to your Safari data, it simply manages what features you can or can't use in Safari.
MDM can see your contacts, it can remote wipe contacts linked to MS exchange and Lync, but can also manually deleted one contact at a time.
No, it cannot.

It can wipe all of them and it can see how many there are but it cannot access them and hence cannot selectively delete them.

Again there is no reason for your company to manage your contacts via MDM when they can do it directly on the server they control.
So if that’s your day job as you claim, you not that clued up hey...?
Very clued up, none of what you said above is accurate.

Can you repeat that in English?

Amazing how you claimed to have checked 4 Apple ID's but you never used this website. So what did you check exactly? And since you are an MDM expert how could you not know about this website and that it lists all linked devices for an Apple ID?

Checked manually on the device. The website will be easier.

Yes exchange can be used to manage email, contacts, calendars and remote wipe.

Against you seem determined to defend the product. I’m not attacking it either. But just looking for some assistance to help me figure this thing out.
The MDM was mentioned and yes it was used possibly. Now that I remember I did try to spoof the location as we heard at the time that they are tracking us ooooooh.
It was a joke but no it wasn’t.

I have not done anything wrong or bad ever. But I was targeted. I don’t even know why yet.

Nope, I didn’t do anything.
Suuuure…

I reckon your best bet is to flush the phone down the toilet, change your name and stay offline for a while. Oh and make sure you only use cash, and get rid of any tap and go nfc bank cards, they can track those through the cellular networks too!

So have you reported it to the police yet? Or do you think they might be in on it too? Don’t tell me you know the truth behind the Tembisa 10!? Better get off these forums, you know Cyril’s people keep an eye on threads like these!!

Wireless Pos systems all work on cellular networks whether you tap or swipe.
The N in nfc stands for near, if they not near it it can’t be tracked.

Police not involved yet.

You sure about that? All you need is to send out a strong enough signal from a tower and have sensitive enough antennas and you’ll pick up all the nfc cards in the vicinity. And with enough towers you can easily triangulate the position of a card. Think about it, it’s obviously possible!

100% innocent, if you want to believe the lies it’s upto you.

Nooo, I totally believe you dude, sounds like you must have some info on some people that they would rather not have public. I wouldn’t hang around forums like these if I were you, you know how much data is logged everytime you post!?

Dude, you’ve already said too much!! Rather get to safety, get offline, and wait till the heat dies down and you know they can’t track you before you start digging.
