iPhone Help Please

Hey Guys Again

Well iv spoken the seller of the iphone that im buying and what not and i want to ensure that its a legit and working iphone 3gs can you guys help me out please iv got the following ideas on mind...

1* Taking a LAPTOP with me and plugging the iphone into iTunes ?
2* Checking number on the phone ?
3* Anything else i can look out for ?

Well i did a little research myself And i noticed that there are not not many ppl can "copy" i iPhone perfect and i check that the main difference was the quality of the screen and how it looks, is this true ? iClones are usally more pixally in the screen Quality ? anyways im looking forward to going to check it out its a 32gb white so yeh will be awesome

hi, go to an Apple store and look at a real iPhone, then you will quickly know the difference
Fakes normally have usb ports and crap like that - the iphone only has one charger port at the bottom
The software should not jerk at all, but be smooth - ive seen a fake and the software very slow

Go look at the apple site and check the iPhone specs.

Compare with clone. Like mentioned above, these clones have stupid things like memory card readers, "higher megapixel" cameras, stylus pens etc.

Also good idea to go and play with an iPhone or even iPod touch at an apple store or wherever. There's nothing like it and you'll soon be able to tell.

Thanks will do, yeh iv seen the fakes they make it so obvious by giving all those extras and all with it, but thats il have a look, how does one go into the propeties of the iphone to see like the system / about information, sorry if thats confusing but where does one see software version and what not ?

On the iPhone, select Settings , General , About and you will see all the info.

Also to check if it's a 3GS and not just a regular 3G, check the camera application to see if you can take video and that it's working (there's a video switch in the bottom right hand corner). I say working because there are themes you can apply to the 3G which make it look like the 3GS, but that do not actually function properly. (just for the look)

Also it should have a working compass app which moves as you spin the phone.
