Is there anything that can be done with a iphone that is locked to an icloud account that the person who used the phone temporarily wont remove?

Dunno if that makes sense. I have the phone. Someone, call it a family friend, used the phone, linked it to an account and now wont give us the creds or remove it from their account so we can use it in the family again.

I don't want access to their info or their account, I just want to use the phone.

It's a 5 of some sort.

Friend has to do the remove.

Or you could contact Apple support but you will jump through hoops.

Threaten friend with fraud and theft charges.

Something tells me the phone was forcefully removed from the "family friend". Why would they not remove their account?

Make piece with "friend". Say sorry. And ask it nicely.

Not quite that way.

In fact we have reached out to them and gotten ignored.

^^This.

There is absolutely no way to circumvent that iCloud activation/authorization/link. Not even sure Apple would help.
