Hi guys,

Has anyone experienced problems syncing their iPhones in iTunes with Windows 7? Specifically using the P55 chipset?

We have identified that there are isolated problems and we're doing a follow up article.

If you have had any problems please be as specific as possible.

Ok so have u actually tested it under a non windows 7 environment? The introduction of the P55 chipset along with the Lynnfield Core i5 and i7 means that all northbridge functions (pci etc) have been moved onto the physical cpu die itself leaving only a southbridge to control usb, lan and any other functions the motherboard manufacturers include.

I bring this up because your article is rather misleading. You need to discern if this is a P55 Lynnfield problem and if so it has nothing to do with microsoft but more to do with Intel and if that is the case then im sure Intel will be releasing a bios revision to all their P55 chipsets.

I doubt that you have tested this problem under windows xp or any other OS on a machine built with a P55 board because noone in their right mind would put anything other than Win 7 on a Core i5/i7 Lynnfield Machine and you have just assumed that obviously microsoft is at fault and it has nothing to do with the new Lynnfield core design.

This is blatantly obvious to anyone who understands the difference between the Bloomfield and Lynnfield cores... Its an Intel fault. Not microsoft. (thats a first)

I seem to be having sync probs on Windows 7 Professional on the iMac - When the iphone is connected in Win 7 it connects and disconnects all the time - does however not worry me as my syncing is done via OS X.
