iPhones VS the rest (lets have some fun!)

who cares if it can blend - ive seen those movies loooooooong ago dude, so please stop spamming the thread with youtjoop links over and over.

if you can develop a MXit for pc, then you can make one for an apple - 100's of apps released daily dude..

also, MXit using java on a phone sucks donkey bawls man...not user-friendly at all, not like the iphone.

You have no idea how long and hard it was to get Mxit for the PC... Besides, the iPhone's OS is way down there in terms of market share. If it was not for Symbian having the ability to run Java - they would make a Symbian version first. Then there is Windows Mobile, but they too have extensions to run Java. Seems apple is at the shortest end of the stick again. Must be 3Gsmoke.

No, it is titled that because people believe it stands on its own ... the reason it says VS the rest is to show that it is no better.
Agreed it does have a few more features than other phones, but then again those other phones have a few more features than the iPhone...

Think of it this way ... we all know your posts are a waste of time but it is you VS the rest of us (The ones who bother debating anyway) ... it does not make you better.

... if I say Windows Millenium VS The Rest ... does that mean Windows ME is so good it stands on its own :confused:

See here's the thing. Everything I say I can back up. Like the mobile OS market share : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smartphone#Operating_systems

You on the other hand (and a few others) always want to make personal remarks - which is impossible to back up.

One needs to ask "why did someone post that" - I post to share facts that I find and things that I find for people to comment on should they want. I like to share my findings so that I can get an idea of what view other people have on it.

So I ask myself why did some post "what an idiot" - is that relevant ? Does it matter if I am an idiot or not ? What does it change and what is there in "what an idiot" that others can gain from ?

The iPhone doesn't seem to be doing very well. Take a look here and here for accounts on what seems to be wrong with it, despite what the involved parties are saying or not saying about it .

We've said it before and we'll say it again; to us, such situations have a three word solution: Don't buy it. You want to spend money on solutions, not problems. Unless you're a certified masochist, why buy a problem?

Apple's stock is up because of the iPhone, and their market share is gaining tremendously.

they have such an exclusive phone that they can make rules of what networks can have it and who can't - that's power my friend.

i find it funny that there are so many iPod/iPhone clones made/being made(like nokia for example, who are 2 years behind) - "it looks like apple gots something right...."

What that backs up is that the iPhone is in fact a smartphone - obviously directly contradicting your other thread.

You really need to vet your sources better. First the was the GSM Arena review on the iPhone which concluded that one should buy it, and now this.

The only thing apple is doing right ATM is size of handset + Nice GUI + Multi-Touch ... if the other cellphone companies implement this ... then no more iPhone :p ... No idea why they don't though?
 
The same thing the Ipod are shlt... there are 101 other handheld multimedia players out there either for the same price but they can do more, or that can do the same but cost less.

The Iphone did a lot right but it also did a lot wrong.

But hay if it works for you hope you enjoy it :)

Apple iPhone Smartphone - Document Editing - Voice Recording - Video Conferencing - Bluetooth File Sending - Java Support - Flash Support (Both for web browsing) - inability to sync notes / to-do lists - copy paste = Apple iPhone Not-so-smart phone. :D
