Is Afrihost currently down?

So still no feedback on the issue? In terms of what caused it.

From an Openserve tech:

"Good day Mr. *****,

We have solved the issue whereby rats were chewing our main links and causing disruptions to our network.

Connectivity should be fully restored shortly. Thank you for your patience.

they haven't even taken the notice off their website and the AH reps are MIA on the forum. I guess the kak is still hitting the fan from a PR perspective now.

mine ended up being an issue on my end i needed to allocate the v6 pool to my bridge on the mikrotik because it was no longer there

We have a Deco...it should just work. I haven't changed any settings on it. Granted I haven't even tried to reboot the unit yet either...

What the heck is going on with the routing?

Every single traceroute I do from JHB goes to Durban and then back on hop #2 and #3 and to servers in the USA it is routed via Mauritius (Liquid Telecom).

Last seen this weird routing when the cables went down last year on Supersonic's network.

Openserve's remained unchanged at that stage, but since last week's outage it also seems to have changed now.
