IS News Server down?

Problem is that while 15kB/s is bad, keep promoting it and soon 5kB/s might become a commonplace reality. It's never too late to stop, savior what we have left, we don't want it to become totally unusable.

I'm also using the slow newsserver. I'm not promoting it :eek: and not planning on doing that. :)

Keeping this and other news server threads alive is promoting it ;) Let it die, if people want info on it then they can use the forum's search function. Newshost has a forum where users can discuss their speeds, discussing it on a large forum such as this one is asking for trouble.

Yup. I think its stupid in that way but i see why its needed.. I mean then u could end up with 'false' cached items.. heck already i've gotten some items that are cached for 1st 5 files and nothing else :confused:

At the same time I have like 19 nsb's not on there at all till recently(people musta noticed speeds on those ;) ) and only gotten like 7 or 8 from the site of which 2 or 3 were truely cached.

I am with Highflyer on this one.

I too have been guilty of talking about things on these public forums that should have stayed private.

I vote for this thread to be looked.
 
The news server's always down, basically a waste of time using it, don't even bother. :D :D :D

There, let's let this be the last post in the thread. :p
