Ah what the heck.

What ANTI-VIRUS software you guys running that have problems ?

Apparently AVG AntiVirus does not like Grabit. This would make sence since the AVG box always pops up when trying to download with Grabit (although it used to work fine before).

If it is that I am going to kick myself :o

I was useing Avast until 2 days ago now useing AVG Plus and there is no differece, I even disabled AVG to make sure.

Well here is something REALLY weird, so i disconnected(closed newsleecher) reopened and was getting 4connections at 2-4kb/s. sis! so just clicked disconnect, then connect again and what do u know 4connections at 100kb/s... and my big mouth just got me disconnected.

I wonder if they are load balancing servers or something...

Hmm, this is strange I had 60 files qued in Grabit, I decided to give newsleech anouther go so i deleted 55 files out of my que now sudenly im getting 35-38k on my DSL 384 line.

for the 1st time in weeks it seems as though the news server is working for me. Let's hope it stays this way

Finally back up to speed using nntp.isdsl.net. Was having huge issues last night! So it's not just me who's experienced the disconnect and reconnect speed up'. mmmmm :p

I wouldnt say the groups are outdated, most of the stuff ive been grabbit has been less than 1day old...

i guess i spoke too soon...my connection is stuffed up again!

The story of many of us this month. Managed a measly 43mb since 5:30 this morning and got a full 1gb last night from 9pm till 5 this morning. Seems as if we make turns to get good connection..........

Just saw Openweb is selling 2 4mb 24Hr uncapped lines for R139.

So I was just thinking that although the intentions are good it might pull people down with slower connections on the IS network which seems already overtaxed with the problems IS has got with the satelite over the south.......

Where i dont see it on their website, jeez dont mind getting that if i have 25 gigs to download
