Received this yesterday, does it look genuine to you guys? I haven't clicked on the link.

Anyway if it is real and I don't complete the form won't I be able to just open a new Google account?

Wheres the "From:" part, should be able to identify with that.

Google would only request such information if someone or Google is attempting to send you money through Google Pay. They are inquiring the legitimacy of your Google Pay account.

This is the only reason I can think of. Just log into https://payments.google.com/ and check if you have any alerts. If not, then the email is fake.

Are you an AdSense user?

Can post post the from address / header info and also where that form links to?

Tks. Nobody would be sending me money but I'll check that site, not an AdSense user.

Tks, will go directly to that page and check details. Still can't think why they'd want to verify. The only thing I've bought are a few games from Google Play.

That is the legitimate Google page. The email you received could be a phishing attempt. Just use the account on which you received the email, and log into Google Payments and check whether there is any alert.

Thank you, I'd feel much better doing this than filling in their form.

Normally there's a drop-down, (maybe only on desktop through the site) could be masked to look like Google so best to proceed with caution but I see you've since received some solid advice.

Good to know anyway, appreciate it.

Don't want to click :X3:
If you hover the mouse over the hyperlink, there is usually a popup that expands the link so you can inspect it.. sometimes it shows up where the mouse is, other times it would be bottom left of the window..
