Is this speed acceptable?

Hi all.

Our office is located in Bartlett close to the East Rand Mall in Boksburg. Telkom has moved our connection speed yesterday up to 6752 kbps downstream and 839 kbps upstream. I am sure that this is to low. Is is possible that Telkom needs to bring down the connection speed to something lower?

it could be your isp or a over congestion exchange, i would think, but yes that speed is not right for a 6mb line

Doesn't help you even report it, as they are just going to say it is normal... I reported my line 6 times, and someone asked me if I want to go over to I-Max (Not the same exchange as you), and surprisingly, it is a whole darn lot faster...

Check the speed info and stats in your router and post it here for us to look at.
