Is this the iPhone 6 killer?

I'm not very happy with the battery life compared to what I was getting from the LG G2. It's obviously to do with the relative sizes of the phones and you can fit a much larger battery into a 5" chassis than a 4" one (hence the improvements in the 6+). But still it drains much quicker. Luckily I do have charging cables everywhere I go so it's not really a factor. But for instance the overnight drain last night went from 100% to like 82% by morning which to me is absurd.

The reasons to go for iPhone 6 for me are simply 1) the screen is amazing in person. I know it isn't rated as highly as something like the Note4, but to view it, the effect where it appears to pop out of the surface is much nicer. It feels like looking at paper. And 2) the camera improvements are the business.

That overnight battery drain is insane. I haven't really paid attention to overnight drain on the iPhone 6 but I will definitely do so tonight.

I keep my WiFi and Bluetooth on constantly for AirDrop and squeeze about 2 days out of the phone prior to it needing a charge. I'm on WiFi all the time though. I took my phone off the charger yesterday at about midday and I still have 63% left.

There are plenty of reasons to upgrade, none of which appeal to me

I figured out why he wanted to upgrade!

I must also be fortunate enough to be close to sources of power most of the day, be it a wall socket, desktop PC, rMBP, car charger, etc. I understand that you and others are not as fortunate. Perhaps work is based out in the bundu. Understood.

Because some time in the future somebody is going to ask him to list all his devices and then he can say 5s 64Gb instead of 5s 16Gb which grows your e-peen by at least 0.2". Much like saying rMBP instead of MBP does because you know, the r.

Ah just found FlipControlCentre. 3G toggle in the Control Centre finally. Who said jailbreaking was irrelevant?

Prefer CCControls.

Also, install BatteryLife and DetailedBatteryUsage if you want to see exactly what is drawing battery power when jailbroken.

Yea CellC :p I'll try what you suggested and see.

Uh-oh...

Besides the battery drain, the other giveaway is an iPhone's aluminium that is not cool to touch. When you wake up it should be noticeably 'cold', that premium feel. ;)

If it is Cell C, it could be your home's location. What's battery drain like at work? If it's good, you might find the Cell C signal is strong there.

I haven't Jailbroken since iOS 7. I can see how a GSM toggle would be handy on my iPhone 5 with battery drain sometimes due to Cell C, though.

Yeah, Cell C was absolutely atrocious in my experience. I actually cancelled my contract early because I couldn't handle their issues any more.

So you've Jailbroken yours ... ?
Not as happy with iOS as you thought?

The biggest advantage for changing the Control Center toggles is to remove Airplane mode.

Currently when someone steals your phone, even when locked, it takes them 5 seconds to disable any tracking.

The iPhone killer would be the iPhone 6... It killed itself... but then again after Steve, Apple has done nothing but screw itself...

Or you could just switch off control center access from the lock screen.

Takes 2 seconds to remove the sim.
