Is this the iPhone 6 killer?

By my reckoning, the only iPhone killer is the next version of an iPhone. Same with the Galaxy. People are pretty brand loyal. That said, for me personally it (The xiaomi of whatever it's called) won't be an iPhone killer, for no other reason than my preference for a smaller phone. I don't mind people using phablets (that's their choice), but for me personally, I quite like the size the iPhone 6... the 6 Plus is just a bit too big for my taste.

This. ^ . Bigger is not better. IPhone 6 and Sony Z3 compact are on my wishlist at the moment

crapple users are simply fundamentalist tech users, they cannot look at evidence in an unbiased opinion and see the difference between good phone and a high priced phone.

an unbiased iPhone user jumped ship to android before getting a 4s because the s2 kicked the 4s's ass all the way.

its like designers still buying mac products because its better for design. BulSh*t its not better, you just think it is becaue you cant run anything but design software on in!

Just switched back to iPhone after several months of Android with a phone that on paper should have slaughtered it. So happy.
 
iPhone killer in which target markets exactly? To be a killer it needs to slice into the competition's market share and in this case the only viable market would be China. Not to mention that the product must indicate growth, something which even Samsung as a smart device giant is trembling at, Xiaomi even took their crown in China. To be clear, Xiaomi only entered the Indian market earlier this year with trouble to start with in regard with patents in 2014, they have no announced plans to compete in the US and EU markets.

iPhone killer, no.

The reverse is also true. A blanket statement like that simply proves it. I have both Android and iOS. I just prefer my iPhone because of the tight integration with other Apple products. The simplicity of using Airplay when you have an iPhone and Apple TV suits my needs. Unfortunately, the crux of the matter boils down Android being available on every type of hardware including some that result in a less than satisfactory user experience.

Have you ever considered that each and every iPhone owner doesn't fit into your idea of what exactly an iPhone is? After considering that question, ask yourself... have you ever really spent a decent amount of time getting acquainted with all (evil) things Apple? Does that not make you part of the "sheeple" you so easily ascribe to everyone?

For me Google now on Android gives me tight integration. Eg. I search for a place with Google Maps on a signed in browser and I'll get a link to the directions automagically on my phone.

The simplicity of using Airplay when you have an iPhone and Apple TV suits my needs.

Chromecast is also simplistic. You download the app, add the chromecast to your network and then cast away.

Just buy a high end or even a mid range phone if you care so deeply about the user experience. Thing is you get choice.

Well that and... other stuff. The only thing I'm missing is that large screen actually, although ergonomically I'm much better off now. One handed Swiftkey typing beats anything.

Thank you backstreetboy. I have a chromecast also which i regularly use to live stream tabs. I am not attempting to revive the age-old iOS vs android debate. I am attempting to curb baseless and destructive comments like "silly sheeple".
