Mmm, sounds good, but how much bandwidth can you really use without p2p? Would be better then if allowed 2 concurrent connections.
 
Bitcomet = torrents and winmx = another p2p client. That will obviously be blocked.

Daevor - the usage is infact unlimited, on the allowed protocols ie. refer back to my original posting.

ps. I know of offices and usenet users who use well over 100gig a month ;0
 
Just need to know how many users show a thumbs up and how many show thumbs down.

Honestly it can be available now, if it looks like there is good enough interest.

Could some Cool Mod please add a poll here? I tried but seems like you need spezial abilities.
 
I agree with MAD a cheaper 20 - 30gb capped solution for home users would be nice. there are alternatives to P2P.
 
Been looking into this more, would there be an option for unshaped. Am considering this as an alternative to diginet using the VPN capabilities of these routers. Hence the need to know what they are, got the Billion and it looks ok, but have you had any luck on finding out what Cisco they want to be used.
 
Hi hotmojo, its the Cisco 807 series.. I didnt add it in original post, since we are not covering the cisco package here.

The IS packages is unshaped, but internationally its via Satellite aswell so as usual, unshaped != low latency, it will just not treat any specific protocol better/worse than the other.

Honestly if you want 192 kind speeds then might as well go for one of the small wisps. Personally i use WO's 128k and they block p2p during office hours but after hours (12-7) it's unblocked. Pay bout 700 bucks a month for it but useful cause at least i have a small bit of p2p. How many sites out there that release their stuff nowadays jsut through torrents?
 
How about adding local-only P2P support? Since you support local Usenet, I'm guessing the issue with P2P is expensive international bandwidth, correct?

The problem with that is that the router filters out the p2p, so it can't discriminate between local and international.
 
For a small office the package sounds like a really great idea, what sort of VoIP and other services can you offer?

Voip/Skype etc is fully usable over these scaled down packages.

What specific voip services do you have in mind?

We dont have specific VOIP services offered by ourself atm, if thats what you meant with the question :)
 
the IS news server aka news.is.co.za is allowed, full access.
 
Yup its uncapped, so signup to whatever news server you want.
