If you want low latency wireless is out of the question, even 300ms is way too much for some applications.
Oh, and a WISP is only useful if they exist whereever you are :rolleyes:
 
I might be causing **** here, but shouldn't the 192k be a bit cheaper considering that you could in theory, pull twice the number of GB's at 384k for only R150 more?

Maybe R600-R650? Just a thought. Not trying to make trouble.
 
The pricing is placed according to more than just possible throughput a month.

Basicly atm you have a choice, if for R150 more the 384k looks like a better option then by all means thats for you :)
 
Oh trust me, for R150 more it is the most tempting offer in the history of SA Broadband (to me at least ;)) Unfortunately, when the 192K already breaks the bank, its a little difficult to justify.

Whats the point of uncapped with P2P blocked? Torrents are P2P arent they?
What could you possibly use all those GB's on?
 
I'm interested, need more info with regards to contracts, limits etc.

Also, what happens if a few months down the line you decide to cancel the service, can you unlock the modem/router to change the details and use with another ISP ?
 
In accordance with the Government Gazette of 17 July 2005, broadband is defined as having a TRANSMISSION rate of 1.5 mega bits per second or above. Technically speaking Telkom's DSL 192 is not broadband is it fails to meet this criteria.

Ronald - If this survey ends up looking good and we do in fact offer it, the service wont just dissapear in a few months time.

You dont have to worry about that :)

The accounts work month to month thats why we offer it, we are not fond of long term contracts.
