I was reading about this on the Yahoo Japan news site just now. Apparently some windows at the Japanese embassy over there shattered and 2 Japanese embassy workers sustained light injuries from the glass.
The comments are filled with people worried about the 2 workers, hoping they're safe and get well etc.
Like really? 80 people died, hundreds of others have serious injuries and y'all worried about two people with a few cuts? Smh.
The American government has been at war for most of its existence, but this one war belongs to two people.

Erm, again. Islam vs culture. Arab culture is unfortunately fairly violent still. Even the more moderate middle eastern Muslim majority countries are fairly brutal compared with the west. Most of the violence in the middle easy where Muslims are killing Muslims is less about religion and more about political power. Iraq had one political group (Baathists) removed and the majority government installed. The Baathists are now regularly blowing things and people up. The two groups also happen to have different branches of Islamic religion but the bombings are less about that than about who has political power and hence the perks of power. Saddam was notorious for treating the rest like second class citizens and treating his own group better.
Similar stuff is happening all over. People are using Islam as the excuse and the rallying call to the masses but its 90% about power and 10% about religion if you ask me. Easy to spot by the lifestyle and choices of the leaders. Taliban is very anti drugs yet they turned Afghanistan into the biggest opium farm in the world. Not very Islamic. Saddam's top guys partied it up with alcohol, drugs, you name it as do the Saudi princes who regularly make their opposition trouble makers disappear. You could make the whole middle east believe in the flying spaghetti monster overnight and it would not end the violence. Its about the culture more than the religion. Interesting to note how many Muslim dominated countries are changing that past though. Bangladesh had a very rocky and violent period but has now stabilised and is starting to do very well. They have halved their poverty rate since the early 2000's and are a majority Muslim country where violence was common but has since died down a lot. Hopefully the Middle east will eventually catch on and follow suit. I think the only reason it has lasted so long is that oil revenue is too easy to exploit by autocratic governments. Big single source of income that is easy to sell and move making the whole resource curse scenario happen. Perhaps when the world gets off oil and onto the next source of energy it will be able to resolve itself.
