I got a newsletter with my bill last week which informed me, as of September, iTalk will be making a "transition" to MTNSP, which inevitably means all contracts will become part of MTNSP.

Anyone got any info regarding this, because from personal experience iTalk service delivery has been far better than MTNSP and their contract specials aswell.

iTalk was purchased by MTN a few months ago, so this kind of thing is to be expected. In theory it should be more efficient to have all your customers on one billing system, one call centre, etc.

iTalk stores will probably also be "rationalised" (to use the euphemism)

I actually found out bout this beginning of this year as well ... yes Italk has been purchased outright by MTN ... according to some blogs, Italk made a subtantial loss, and to add to that there was a bid between MTN and another bidder to purchase Italk shares outright, and MTN won in the end .... btw Italk used to be okay but now suck completely ... try renewing ur contract now to see whata Im talkin bout ... its a godd thing MTN is taking over.... hopefully a good thing ... .

Can't blame em for the recent crappy service, most of the staff jumped ship and the rest are getting the axe.
