Maybe the dog heard someone say that your kid is so cute that they just wanna eat her up and mistook it for an instruction.
 
The long and the short is that people with children should do better research when considering adopting / acquiring a dog. They should do much better research. Very few dog breeds are child-friendly, and although some may appear to be child-friendly, it is only a matter of time before some tragedy will happen.

why the hate for dogs? so, the parents are at no fault at all? so, a dog, who is still an animal with animal instincts is completely at fault?

I think it's funny you got a phobia of dogs.
 
Pugs are fantastic pets and very good with young children. However, pugs, like most dogs, generally have sharp nails. This is always going to pose a threat to the well-being of any very young child. So if their nails are regularly filed/blunted, they're loads of fun and safe to be around young kids.

a dog is property.
if you left your kid in the car for a long time in the heat of day, you'd be negligent
if you left your child unattended with a knife, you'd be negligent
if you left your child by the swimming pool alone, you'd be negligent.
if you let your 3 year old walk to the shop alone and something bad happens, you'd be negligent.

so when the child is harmed, do you demolish the car, break the knife, bury the swimming pool and sue to close down the shop, because as a parent you could not protect your child?

i've been attacked by plenty of dogs, i've also owned a lot of dogs.

great, the dog was euthanised. clearly the problem in all of this was the fact that the child snuck out of its parent's care and was doing malicious activities behind the parents back, or another suspect is the dog that wanted nothing more than to maul the baby from the day it came into the house :rolleyes:

While googling "Labrador attacks child" gets you only 678,000 results.
That's a good sign to not get a Jack Russel.

Parents to blame. Most terriers - most dogs - will bite with provocation. Poor kid, poor dog!:cry:
 
I blame the parents!

Never leave your child unattended, they were negligent surely you would hear your child scream/cry and see what the commotion is all about.

Many factors need to be taken into consideration.

Did the dog go to training school ?
Did the owner give the dog love like they were given their child?
Did the dog have an aggressive/temperament personality ?
Did the owners forget to give their pet food or water?

Leave your pets outside if you have children and if you let your pets inside always be there as supervision.

When my mom was pregnant with me, family dog went against her(jealousy)
 
and just how many times have we read of parents letting their child wander around only to be killed by their own car because they THOUGHT the child was inside? it all boils down to negligence on the part of the parents. the child is small and again the parents are nowhere to be seen. just leave the 17 month old baby alone with the dog it's all fine.

When the car randomly explodes - you sue to construction company. When a toy turns into a knife when disassembled - you sue to toy company. When the swimming pool suddenly lifts up out of the earth and tips itself over the baby - you sue the person who built it. When you put your kid in the trolley and it suddenly collapses - you sue the supermarket. In not one of these cases would somebody want the broken /whatever/ back. The dog was broken.
