We are writing this notice on behalf of CBS Films Inc., Alliance Films Inc., Tele-Muenchen Fernseh Gmbh & Co. Produktionsgesellschaft, and Worldwide Sony Pictures Entertainment Acquisitions Inc. (collectively “Rights Holders”) who own certain rights under copyright law in the title “The Back-up Plan.”

This notice provides you with the information you need in order to take immediate action that can prevent serious legal and other consequences. These actions include:

An MPAA website, www.respectcopyrights.org, offers step-by-step instructions to ensure that your Internet account is not being used to violate the copyright laws. WTF???

ignore it, they have an obligation to send you that warning but can't take any action on it.

You downloaded a movie illegally, mweb e-mailed you to tell you to delete it, and you now say "WTF" ?

hmm.......righto

Yes? You're downloading illegally and you got caught out, what are we supposed to do about it?

I saw similar threads before, outcome was that you should just ignore it and pretend never happened.

Tell them you're sorry and that you'll leave the bittorrent client open to allow sony to copy the file back.

Stop using torrents, or at least use peer block.

Tell them you've scanned your machine for viruses and found it to be infected. You've now installed AV and and a firewall and will monitor the situation. :)

Rofl, being upset that you were caught doing something illegal. Anyway, print it out and use it as TP, problem solved

The Back-Up Plan (previously known as "Plan B") is a romantic comedy film, starring Jennifer Lopez and Alex O'Loughlin.[2] It was released in theaters in the US on April 23, 2010

The unmarried Zoe (Jennifer Lopez) is desperate for a child, and is artificially inseminated through a sperm bank. Newly pregnant, but not yet showing and unaware of her pregnancy, she meets Stan (Alex O'Loughlin), and the two start dating. Romantic complications ensue once she reveals to him she was pregnant when they met.

you deserve to get arrested for this shyte

But I didn't Download this so what the hell??

Heh, so mweb jumped on this bandwagon too hey? Guess saix is the only save haven from these annoying mails.

Heh, so mweb jumped on this bandwagon too hey? Guess saix is the only save haven from these annoying mails.

Its not due to Mweb. Sony or some other money grabbing company is monitoring p2p and they've then brought this to the attention of the ISP that owns the IP that's doing the download. Their responsibility then is to notify the user of the infringement.

I know this, IS has been doing it for ages. SAIX normally though just ignores the emails and never forwards them. Mweb was SAIX, therefore Mweb never use to do this either.

Tell them that even if you did copy it, You could not have infringed any Intellectual property rights because that movie does not sound intellectual in any way.

I just left afrihost because they suspended my account for downloading NCIS,

Take one for the team and ignore the mail and let us know if they suspend your account.

Would like to know if this is simply procedure or if they actually will do something
