Hi Everyone,

This is my first post to this forum, prompted by sheer desperation! I did a search but none of the returned posts seem to match my problem.

I have a K3565 that is driving me up the ^$&@# wall. It keeps on disabling itself (even when a connection has been established). It then goes through several cycles of:
Device disabled
I click to enable device
It prompts me to enter the PIN (Does not save PIN)
Search for network
Back to device disabled.

Sometimes I go through this for about 30 minutes before it connects or I go and sob silently in the corner.

I got this from Vodacom a couple of months ago, should it be necessary for me to upgrade the firmware?

Hey Khanya,

Thanks for the reply! Can you point me in the direction of a link to download MDMA?

Thanks Peon, where can I get hold of the firmware? I checked Vodadom's site but couldn't find firmware for the K3565. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure there is a new firmware for the K3565.

What VMC software are you using? The software that came on the modem? VMC Lite? If so, try the full version VMC 9.4.8.

I have a K3565 and Windows 7 has a problem detecting the thing quite often. MDMA detects it immediately and connects without problems. Strangely once MDMA finds it then Windows 7 seems to also detect it quicker after that (but quit MDMA first).

EDIT: Windows XP was far better at detecting the modem.

Windows 7 64-bit? There was a Win7 64bit fix out to resolve modems not being detected in Windows 7. Not sure if they were released on the Vodacom website? Or if they have been integrated into the newer versions of VMC?
