can you just replace a normal decoder with the HD Decoder? i.e. Plug n play?
 
You can do it all online, no need to call and also it will automatically have the HD channels available when everything is connected

Didn't work for me. I had to call them and tell them to activate the HD channels. All the other channels worked after my sim was linked to new decoder, but none of the HD channels worked. Kept getting an error message saying this is not activate on your profile. Once I called them and told them to activate HD, did a reset and everything worked.
 
Thanks for the R100 off code, got the DSTV HD decoder for my granny :). Previous model is faulty and she was always hesitating on whether to get a new one [it restarts alot] :).

Yip, DSTV HD decoders are going for R399.00 but with the code, save R200 lol.
 
Bought the decoder yesterday at 1pm. Was delivered today at 3pm. Connected it up and works great! Straight swap. Great service from Kalahari.
 
I placed an order on Monday and it hasn't even shipped yet :-(
 
Outsurance is giving R600 Kalahari voucher if their quote is more than what you paying...LOL

Anybody tried this out yet?
