Firstly, I apologise in advance for any triggering the following may cause.

So, I won R1000 in the MyBB Takealot Giveaway :D

Now, I need a keyboard, mouse & muosepad as I do not have one.

So, I would like some recommendations. Prefer not to spend more than the R1,000 for all 3, though I could chip in a little if I have to. Honestly am not interested in RGB or "Gaming" keyboards, unless there is actually some valid reason to get one that I'm not aware of.

I was looking at these:

Mice
Cooler Master Storm Devastator Ii Gaming Combo - R786

SteelSeries Kinzu V3 Mouse - Black - R479

Asus ROG STRIX Impact Gaming Mouse - R939

Gigabyte Xm300 Optical Gaming Mouse - R904

Keyboards
Genius KB110 - Standard Desktop Keyboard - R119

Microsoft Wired Keyboard 600 - R275

There are so many options and I've never owned gaming peripherals so I'm a little at sea on this.

Suggestions please?

Looks like a decent combo, but not great reviews on the mouse. I'm more interested in a good mouse than KB I think. Have you used this set?

Now for a mousepad head on down to your local pub and ask your manager/barman if he'd part with one of his klipdrift/castle/black label/amarula bar mats. They make awesome mousemats, plenty of space for your keyboard and mouse! Made from a material very similar if not the same as a gaming mousepad.

Nope. Truth be told for R1k you not gonna get much but yest you are way better off with a decent mouse!

I like the barmat idea. Will visit the Baron and see what they'll do for me.

I guess these days R1000 is not a lot for a mouse and KB, which is just crazy to me.

Rather save and buy a keyboard when you are ready to invest into one, look at mice, and avoid any laser sensor,

Awesome buy, a bargain:

Logitech G Pro - R999.00

http://www.wootware.co.za/logitech-910-004856-pro-12000-dpi-wired-optical-gaming-mouse.html

A wee more expensive, but totally worth it,

Logitech 910-004824 G403 Prodigy - R1,149.00

http://www.wootware.co.za/logitech-...000-dpi-black-wired-optical-gaming-mouse.html

This really is not a bad mouse, but I like the M65 PRO more,

Corsair CH-9303011-AP Sabre RGB - R806.00

http://www.wootware.co.za/corsair-ch-9303011-ap-sabre-rgb-gaming-mouse.html

You cannot go wrong with the Rival 100, except when you have sweaty palms,

Steelseries Rival 100 - R698.00

http://www.wootware.co.za/steelseries-rival-100-red-200ips-usb-optical-gaming-mouse.html

The Rival 100 is the best choice here when you want to take CSGO seriously on a budget, but it wears...

The best gaming keyboard on a budget is those German Speedlink membrane's. Just because it has actual build quality. This ****ty looking thing https://www.takealot.com/speedlink-parthica-core-gaming-keyboard-for-pc-black/PLID38162417 is a good keyboard.

Save and buy a proper mechanical when you have the money, it is anyway overpriced at the moment in SA.

Thank you for the input. You too @ponder.

Yea Takealot only unfortunately, but hey, free stuff :D

I get what you mean about the KB, but I don't think I can afford to skip it at this point, because I haven't figured out how to play CS:GO without a KB.

How much do you want to add to the R1000? Don't toss the prize away. The Rival 100 is way better than my R1000 Corsair M65, and I have played with one, it is a remarkable FPS mouse. Personally, I would go with the Rival, it is in my opinion the best sub-R1000 FPS mouse.

R 745 +

https://www.takealot.com/redragon-asura-gaming-keyboard/PLID42120345

R 649 = R1394

or

https://www.takealot.com/cooler-master-storm-surpressor-gaming-keyboard/PLID42171695

R 605 = R1350

Those are gaming keyboards though... you can go cheaper, but I like macros. That CM Devastator bundle is ****.

I have corsair sabre rgb mouse. Works well, but its more for Palm grip, had to get used to it. Sensor is good dpi switch on fly cant complain
