Mechanical Keyboard and Gaming Mouse Replacement - Advice needed

I have been using a Corsair K70 and a Roccat Savu Mouse for a while now / daily. I absolutely love the mechanical keyboard and I like the mouse because it is comfortable and can change the DPI with a push of a button.

Problem is noise. It messes with recordings, online conferencing and keeping Lady Viking awake when I burn the midnight candle. I have nice soft hands, but they large and heavy on the keys.

Are there very comfortable super quiet keyboards (with a slight bit of travel) and a super silent mid-size mouse with no button clicks. I have a Rapoo M100 Silent mouse, but it is tiny. I do love the keyboard on my Dell Precision notebook, but it lacks a bit of travel.

I do realise I won't find a 100% replacement for my mechanical, but willing to try something new that is silent even if it is a different experience.

Do you work in the same room as you sleep that you keep your wife awake? if so switch to the laptop keyboard and trackpad at night.
 
Going the Cherry MX Red Silent route might defeat the whole purpose of getting a mechanical keyboard in the first place.

Perhaps keeping your current setup for during the day and switching to a membrane based board for when the missus is asleep.

Something like the Logitech Master Series MX Keys.
 
I love my Ducky One2 SF with cherry MX silent reds. Typing feels like a dream and it feels built to last.

I guess it is worth a try. Another option I looked at is the Dell Premier keyboards. Maybe it has a bit more travel than the Dell Precision (laptop) keyboard?

Yeah give it a try and you can always return it if you aren't fully satisfied.

The awesome thing about the MX is that it's wireless and you can also pair it to three devices. That means seamlessly switching between them on the fly.

But I can tell you for certain you are going to miss the mechanical click of your Corsair.

About 18 months now, also the tactile one. I thought about the going clicky, but in the end wanted to go for the safer, quieter option. The only "complaints" I have is that out of the box, they modifier keys like shift have a different feel to the rest of the keys. This has mostly resolved...

Cheapest I've seen it was around R1.5k last year December.
 
So I thought I'll try the MX Master 4 mouse. But find it quite uncomfortable. The middle wheel is hard press, so it does a scroll press. The side haptic pad button thing is very sensitive. Will try it for another day or two and see if it becomes more comfortable. I have big hands, but do find it clunky. It has some bells and whistles but not sure if I want to sacrifice comfort for it.

Thread 'Logitech MX Master 4 - The worst mouse I've ever experienced'

I have been using budget mice for a long time and finally decided to invest in what is considered one of the best options available. I am not sure whether the issues I encountered are specific to this model or shared with previous versions, as reviews seem mixed. I chose this mouse because it was recommended on CAD forums for our software. It is possible mine was defective.


For context: I do have fairly large hands, so size is not the issue. I am accustomed to a smaller mouse and a claw grip, but I believe I could adjust if the mouse were comfortable enough.

I am sending it back to...
