Kindle Fire in ZA

Is it possible to let amazon ship the tablet to ZA, although it's only released in US, if not how can one get it, and then connect to the cloud services of amazon via a VPN?

Thats what i'm also interested in... I guess it should work, if one connects via VPN to US Servers. The IP should then be from the US, hence give you access to their online service... Or am I mistaken?

I think that would spoof the Amazon cops detecting your server settings...if you can get apps from Amazon's Appstore that way (based in SA), then it should work!

Just got mine in Friday. Rooted and installed the android market. Does have VPN Support so pretty sure you can spoof the Amazon market. CM7 just got released for it as well. Love the size. Only miss the volume buttons. Quite used to those. But unfortunately looking to sell mines now. Had to choose between my Ipad and Kindle Fire. Wife prefers the Ipad.
