Koesisters. Yummy !!!!

My mum used to make these, literally by the hundreds. Now she only makes it for special occasions so I make sure that I get to these occasions. :D

So close to Fordsburg then, thats to far for me to drive just for a koesister. Maybe I can find a place closer to Midrand.
 
Lots of aunties in my 'hood sell them. They only make them Sunday mornings and the price is R1 each.

My wife is a standing customer, I don't like sugary stuff though so its only her and the kids that indulge in it. She usually sends me to go buy it, then I sommer make use of the opportunity to pop in at the smokkie :D

Use to love koeksisters, best place to buy, Muizenberg flea Market on a Sunday....now, they just way too sweet, for me, and I can not justify the treadmill hell afterwards.

The plaited koeksisters we get up in Joburg and the stuff you get in CT are completely different. Those I've had in Joburg are not the crispy, syrup-soaked ones. I miss Joburg :(
