@lantic R59 uncapped 'bolt-on' feedback

On P2P/NNTP? Getting 4Mbs on YouTube and NNTP is basically dead.

on p2p.

Speedtests also sitting at around 4mbps on my 40mbps line, Change over to WA and I get 26mbps.

Well gg. Knew it wouldn't be sustainable. WA Business Capped seems like a good deal for now.

Looks like I'm being shaped badly for some reason :erm:
PM to Voxy. Hope fully they can resolve.

Seems a hard modem reset fixed it for a bit, 7Mbs on both my accounts now. Guess Vox caught on and fixed it.

For anyone considering the same solution I did - the disconnection issues continued all night, looking at my modem logs.

Got a call from support this morning after PMing Voxy. Was initially told it was not possible to dial two simultaneous PPPoE connections on one line. After arguing this point, got another call back telling me using two bolt on accounts on the same line was not possible, and confirmation that Vox was indeed disconnecting the sessions automatically when detecting this, so mystery solved.

Ive found that the VOX dns blocks me from certain sites. Only when I use my netflix/hulu dns can I access these certain sites.

Good day

One of our Core Technical Consultants will be in contact with you.

Kind regards
Voxy

Please either reply to this thread or PM me with the sites that you're having troubles with. We don't block any DNS on our network. If you are experiencing a problem, then it's a problem for us as well.

Regards,
Chris

This reply is for people who have read this from Seeyou.

We are not detecting nor disconnecting users within this configuration. He is receiving a lot of Port-Errors from Telkom and will follow up with them accordingly.

It is possible to have multiple PPPoE sessions open on a single line and we do not disconnect these nor detect them for any reason.

Lastly, multiple bolt on accounts, will work for those customers who have a 20 or 40mbps VDSL line with configurations similar to Seeyou.

I hope this clears the air about what we do and don't do.

Chris

As discussed privately, there is no configuration on our side which disables the kind of configuration that you have; nice plan by the way! If there was a problem with one of the accounts, that's a separate issue.

Chris

Being shaped to 300kbps at the moment.

There's no rule to shape to 300kbps on our system, something else at play here.
