@lantic R59 uncapped 'bolt-on' feedback

Hi Chris,

Does the base product on which the bolt-on is added affect anything or is the service the same regardless?
For example if I upgrade to Platinum Gig4Gig is there any difference to Home Gig4Gig when it comes to the Bolt-On?

Thanks.

There's no difference... Let me break it down, potentially a bit too far...

Base Product = Peak times
Bolt on = Off peak times

If you don't have "Bolt on" this then equates to a monthly service calculation.

Once you introduce "Bolt on" then the monthly service is split up by times of day and days of week.

I hope this answers your question, if not, feel free to ask further questions. I'll be at my desk until +/- 5pm. :)

Yeah been with @lantic since they launched the uncapped bolt on back in the day and it was a rocky start but I can confirm that they have tweaked it to perfection now.

I signed up for 50GB fat pipe + uncapped bolt on from the start of this month. Had the bolt on on my gig4gig package and they just moved it for me to my fat pipe account no problem. Email support was very fast in doing it on the weekend.. Best product there is no doubt. Unshaped all the way at a very affordable price....

Here is the setup. Works like a well oiled machine... :D

I don't like the fact that I can't DIY through a clientzone and have to speak to a human.

The paperwork is once-off, then it is a breeze afterwards. No DIY needed. Worth it for an awesome account like this. Also looking at upgrading to the fatpipe option.

Will you have to speak to a human for this or can you DIY?

I created my fatpipe account online and it was instantly activated. I just emailed support to move my uncapped bolt on from the gig4gig account to my new fatpipe account and was done in 10min

Might be instantly cause I already had a account....

Cavedog. You have once before sold me on the uncapped bolt-on. and yet again you have sold me on the fatpipe :D 50gig sounds good. I think it should suffice for my families day time needs. :)

Okay, you've convinced me :)

I will give this a bash at month end.

Cheers,

Hey I should be a sales rep... Would make some $$$ :D

Anyways I just like the fact that R248 gives you 50GB daytime and uncapped after hours and weekend unshaped access. I think it compares very well with the uncapped products which lately seems very extensively shaped or plagued with congestion issues....

Looks like the product runs on vox's own backbone and from what I have seen so far with the uncapped bolt on is a very stable backbone.

This is the only thing that scares me about fat pipe.

"There is no cap-enforcement on this product, i.e. if the package is 50GB a user will be notified at 80% and will not be capped at 100% but will move straight to out of bundle"

OOB shark could bite should you not watch your account closely when you get to your limit.

What's your Vox setup then?

This thread needs to be deleted :erm: & Cavedog needs to remove that stupid Sig :p

Hoping this stays a secret.

Sorry for waking it up :o

I know what you mean, such a pitty one has to resort to secrecy to maintain the status quo.

Tired of moving from backbone to backbone trying to stay ahead of the bandwidth hogs :)

This deal is the best kept secret and as long as it continues to operate the way it does, I will be one very happy camper

What's your Vox setup then?

Currently Cybersmart for R233 I get 70GB anytime capped unshaped data and then from 12:30am to 7am I get 1000GB unshaped capped data.

I then use my bolt on for weekends. But in all honesty I would rather have just 1 account and the fat pipe plus bolt on can achieve that.
