@lantic R59 uncapped 'bolt-on' feedback

that's when it appears to be open to the 'whole' internet. could only get onto my companies website at 12:30am this morning. mybb loaded. nntp was 'working' at 250KB/s on a 4mbps line. pretty shyte.

Well my downloads always go a constant 1.2MB/s... On Monday everything went full line speed for a long time, not sure why but it was great!

Downloaded something on Tuesday or so from midnight to see if we get speed increase after midnight, but sadly the whole thing just downloaded at 1.2MB/s average

Edit: I'm still very excited to see a VDSL option for us... Come on Voxy, how does R300 for 40mb sound to you? :)

meanwhile i have 2 of em and just route traffic accordingly on my firewall :P
Yeah, works well... But then you get 2 IP addresses and that can be a bit annoying.
There are ways around that but having a single account is easier and more convenient.

So I'd rather they release such an option. :D
Plus not everyone wants to run PfSense or a Mikrotik router etc.

you do so do i :P.....

So there is something wrong and Bolt is not becoming ****?
Because my download speed really picked up at 4 in the morning.

Every time I switch to Bolt-on after 6 my downloads speed just falls to where I cant to do nothing! What is happening....!!!!!!!!?

Aha! At least I can post here now using the bolt-on. Some progress. YouTube still buffers at 720p a bit. 1080p even more intermittent. Go on fixing, Vox!

Capped again!

After receiving a call from Vox Support informing me that they have fixed the capped issue (for the 100th time), I am capped again this morning with over 6Gig still available.

Was slightly better last night :erm:

The fact that they still haven't fixed the MyBB (Hetzner) issue absolutely baffles me. I cannot believe that a massive telecoms company like Vox is unable to fix something so trivial.

I also find the issue of mybb not accessible to Vox subscribers grotesquely ridiculous. Feels like if we here knew their network architecture we would collectively google up a solution in no time :) For free. (Or, just maybe, for the bonus of the employee at Vox who's tasked to resolve it.)

this crappy internet cant surely be taking this damn long to solve. last night I had to get another capped account to use to do some work. just complete BS.

Fortunately for me it's 'only' MyBB that is affected in the evenings.

1. Diablo 3 / Hearthstone is fine
2. Basic downloads (MSDN, etc) seem to be okay - not great but it's there in the morning which is ok

3. Most importantly, the SO's internet use appears to mostly unaffected - (Pintrest, Facebook, miscellaneous browsing, blogs, etc) - I get the occasional "internet seems a bit slower than usual" but rarely

/holds thumbs

If any of the above 3 was badly affected by the current problems I'd be moving along in a hurry.

I noticed last night that Google Play doesn't update applications on the VOX network... Didn't see that one coming.

im convinced they checking bandwidth consumption for the previous evenings peak and just adding in restrictions every morning. my viewer app for work worked one night and the next it was unable to load during peak. after 12 only. making me lekker the m0er in. I can handle throttled nntp but for fsuck sakes don't exclude my actual work from peak time.
