Let me know if it freezes again.Yep.
So that proves my point that is a Vista Wifi issue and not the hardware. It's definitely wireless related though.
I've been streaming music from a desktop pc since you started this thread and my laptop hasn't frozen once. I've been googling the whole day yesterday and today for a solution. Will let you know if I find anything else.

My new laptop is freezing for some reason... What should i do.
Could charging it for long cause this?
If not what is it or what can i do to find out and fix it.
there seems to be alot of issues recently with freexes when a pc go into stand by mode or sleep.
I know if my system sleeps i cant get it back on again no matter what i do....vista is the worst,i have to fight with the keyboard.
Quick update.... I just restarted my Lappy, yep i got another AFTER fpllowing what you said.
Did it freeze again?

Do this:
Test it again. If it doesn't work. Use LSPfix:

Only click finish, no matter what, do not do anything else with it.

Not which I have noticed, but I know that is happens completely random with me.
If you have a desktop system and a music folder on it, try using Winamp or something similar to play music from the desktop through the Wireless. That's as good as a download and should also allow you to see if it freezes. Leave the music to play for about 45 minutes or more.
Did you come right?
Basically, install Winamp> add the shared directory of the other pc to the media library> play songs.
I thought I had fixed it
I set my router to broadcast 802.11g only (54mbps), I copied 2.5GB across the network with no freeze, but as soon as I copied something else it froze gain

seems like premature hardware failure.
I doubt it. I have the added joy that the Toshiba BIOS update for my laptop refuses to flash the BIOS for some reason, it's getting ridiculous. My threads on Toshiba's support forum doesn't even get answered, but it has 500 views

I tried then for other probs i had.. All i can say is that, that has to be one of the most useless forums ever...
