My new laptop is freezing for some reason... What should i do.
Could charging it for long cause this?
If not what is it or what can i do to find out and fix it.:(

I'm inclined to believe it's a software (drivers most likely) problem.

We'll need a bit more details, does it freeze at a particular time/when running a specific program/etc? :)

No not really..
I would it froze 3 time and during those times it was idle so im not sure whats wrong.

CPU temps no how do i check them?
Drivers yes they are.. Except for this one unknown device i tried letting window search for the driver but it doesn't know it.

Which CPU does your laptop have? CoreTemp (link in the FAQ if I remember correctly) might be able to help :) I doubt it's the problem though.

Give CoreTemp a shot :)

I'm still inclined to believe the problem lies with one of your drivers ;)

How long has it been since you did a fresh re-format and re-install?

How many programs have you installed and un-installed.

If it has been longer than six months, then I strongly suggest you do a clean install.

If the freezing persists...it will be easier to diagnose it with a clean system.

Yep, same thing happened on my Toshiba.

Try to do this:
http://www.petri.co.il/improve_windows_vista_network_performance.htm

Open cmd
Enter this: netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disable
Press enter and restart the laptop after the OK.

If it doesn't sort it out, we'll have to troubleshoot this together, I'm testing my Wlan streaming at this moment and it hasn't freezed yet.

I've got a Satellite entry level though.

I have athros and iproDifx im not sure which one i installed..

Ok iv done what you said now ill download through out the night and see im its working tomorrow morning.
