Well, we have to pay to do a course in the Act and Regs.

SAPS have "on the job training".

Some people valiantly tried to get regulations in place to force SAPS DFOs to also pass a test on the law but SAPS didn't fall for that -- maybe it would have been too expensive for them (but we must pay) or maybe they figured most of them would fail.

If members of the public jumped up and down about it, things would have turned out differently.

But as some bright fellow said, you get the government you deserve.
 
Its in the papers today Beeld, there will be a court ruling tomorrow concerning the FCA brought by the SAWJF (acronym wrong forget spelling). They are asking for a postponement with the ANC arguing not to post-pone since something like 900 000 haven't yet handed in their guns or relicenced. And again note complete silence from the NPA, you would think if they had any intent to prosecute 900 000 people next week tuesday, they would have said something.

The ANC now wants to appoint their own judges and assign cases to specific judges, the anc watns to take the farms, they want to prosecute, they want everybody to have a goony look on their faces while Desmond Tutu makes us do the mexican wave going gaga-madiba-magic. There are lots of things the anc wants to do because they lost their majority to overturn the constitution, the anc is in trouble, the anc like mugaba needs to take over complete control so as not to loose the next election ,which they will because no white man will be employed to provide service delivery, afirmative action will continue, cosatu runs the country , the anc has lost control. PHosa was confused .....
