Latest iPhone update is causing battery problems

I've never had to deal with them, I wouldn't know. I've owned a 3, 4, 5s, 6s, 8, Xr and now an 11. Chugging along beautifully as usual and no issues at all with 14.2 on battery or anything else.

In fact, the only issue I've ever had with a phone was when my Samsung S4 battery expanded and nearly blew up.

Go figure.

Android isn't the problem, your problem was getting a samsung phone :)

Apple users will not be able to defend their choices here, batteries are flat and they did not get chargers with their new phones.

What I find fascinating is the people who continuously have to tell users of a brand that the product is kak and that they have moved on. Why then jump on every thread about it, miss the products too much?

Let people make their own kak choices as long as it does not affect you, their money, their problems.

Haters and fanboys of any product is funny as fukk.

It is a piece of tech, choose what you like, if it is kak, choose another.

Yes, and my previous iphone 5 just switched off one day and never came back on again
Apple se moer
for the prices of those phones i can buy a handful of Android phones that will last longer

No, they won't.

It's probably a small percentage (much like with Windows) but making a mountain out of a mole hill. Kind of like the flaw that was reported on yesterday that was found 6+ months ago and fixed almost immediately. But that was somehow newsworthy.

My wife has an SE and has no hassles. Neither of our iPads have any hassles (Air2; Air) and my Xr has no hassles. So it's kind of luck-of-the-draw.

Seriously? A 6 year old phone with outdated hardware and 1 gb RAM, and you're blaming Apple?

Just as a matter of interest, what Android phone are you using now?
24 months old
im not rockafella like you guys that buys new phones
iphone 5 was also 24 months old when it switched off

iPhone 6 is 5.5 years old and still going. iPads are 3.5 years old and still going. My wife's old SE (before I gave her my 32GB one) is 4 years old and still going. AND, I might add, they're as fast as they were. No discernible drop off in performance.
Luck of the draw, or how it was treated.

You're buying old technology. I'm not sure what you'd expect as OS'es and apps require ever more power and RAM. It's an old phone today in 2020, nearly 2021, regardless of when you bought it.

My iPad 2 died a couple of years ago. Uselessly slow and Apps stop being supported on old models. So to use the Apps and get the service I require from my tech, I upgrade to a new one. Otherwise you can't watch DStv Now or use Whatsapp etc. It's how these things work. You couldn't be expecting to play Cyberpunk 2077 on a Pentium 200 MMX because you only bought it last year.

Great, still on 93% after a long read of my social media apps in bed with a cup of tea this morning. Also had about a 15 minute call with digital planet and answered a couple of Whatsapp's. All good, thanks for your concern though.

No concern my friend, more of a laugh,

I also note though that you have owned every iPhone since the 3, so you are in fact a Sheeple? Apple changes the background on a new phone and you're in the line to test out their latest innovation?

Don't throw k@k at the people who hang on to their phones when you're the other end of the spectrum here

The irony is that a 6 year android old phone would still work, little worse for wear, but would have still worked and do as intended. Assumption that a android phone with 1gig ram is useless is based on what exact considering you don't use android?

It isn't like android simply decided okay you have a 6 year old phone, no more apps for you. It actually takes several years before the app store decided look buddy your phone is too old. Currently there is still support for android 4.4 kitkat on the app store and most apps still support kitkat, even thought kikat only started being phased out out this year by major app developers. That is pretty great support considering kitkat was released 7 years ago.

How much money do you have that you think a 6 year old phone breaking is fine and acceptable?

He didn't say he just bought the iPhone 5. He said he HAD an iPhone 5 that switched off after 2 years.

Sjoe, reminds me of the 2 Galaxy Tab2s we had. First update of Android...mothered. Performance never returned, and we replaced them with our iPads and haven't looked back. Kept those Galaxy Tabs and the kids use them for games. Take about a day to charge each of the Tab2s.
Won't be replacing our iPads as they're decent and work very well.

planned obsolescence is a B*** isnt it?

oh wait, me with a "ancient" android phone still chugging along on Android 11,
