Latest iPhone update is causing battery problems

Still have my old S4 mini, fixed it myself with another broken unit,
upgraded to Android 11 pixel experience, works like a dream, and best of all, removable battery, the ultimate longevity in a phone.

what you say WONT happen, as not everybody agrees that phones need to be locked down so heavily.
I mean even myself, rooted phone, but still able to run the mcnazi app, even with rooting.
Banking app?

Still got a Samsung S5 with OG battery, running LineageOS.

Runs like a baws.

Wow, that's good going. I used to really enjoy rooting and trying out different ROMs on the older Samsung's. But yeah, that was my first dual sim phone though unfortunately I never really "connected" with it. Nothing Samsung ever produced lived up to the Galaxy S2 imo. Still my favourite phone to this day I reckon.

I've never had battery issues, screen issues, charge only over night and get though a day easily, it does lots of things better than an Android because it syncs across my devices. Oh, and my phone also cost half the price of a flagship Samsung.

So what now?

You one of those who does not use your phone heavy ... , apple batteries don't last here, not since iPhone 6, and 12 is coming out with an even smaller battery, Eish. Apple has a liking for class action lawsuits, as in the USA, and Europe, because of battery issues.

Battery has certainly improved from the 8 to Xr, but I'd say I was between heavy and light depending on what I'm doing. I use my phone for work and leisure. Looking at my usage profile today I've had screen on about nearly 2 hours and made about 40 minutes worth of calls in and out. Few Whatsapp messages and Battery is on 83%.

Edit: I should say that one of the things that got me more on the Apple side was the constant battery drain on the Androids, do nothing and you still lose % over an hour or two, whereas you put your iPhone down for 2 hours and you lose 0. I just got fed up fiddling about with kernals and all that nonsense.

I borrowed a friend's old iPhone 4 for a week, my Android phone's battery needed to be replaced, so I decided to try out iOS for a week.
First few days was confusing, no easy way to disable mobile data. The software was good, but I had my taste. Will not buy Apple for the rest of my life.
I also played around with macOS Mojave on a old laptop for a week or two, not so bad.
Look at their macbooks (Louis Rossmann)
And now this.
Apple on the one side is a sinking ship, but the other side is pointing up.

Banking app?
Mcdonalds app, for some strange reason REALLY doesn't like Rooting or Unlocked bootloaders or anything even remotely rooting flavored.
funny Magisk has a Hide function to deal with this tomfoolery.
but I nicknamed it the mcnazi app, becuse even FNB has no issues with rooting.

My 3-year-old iPhone 8 is on 16% now.

There’s something to this claim. Used to end the day on 30%.

same here, got given a Ipad air 10 inch, from work,
and used it for a bit, being completely new to anything IOS related, never even owned 1 piece of Apple Tech.
complete virgin, if ever such a thing existed.

Instantly hated it, nothing is where you expect it to be, and functions you'd expect to find dont exist,
kept asking myself, why would anybody want this? it makes no sense.

then came across this, and it all made sense,

leave mine alone, but did load greenify and it certainly helps the battery drain.
need Root, also have adaway on mine, all Adverts blocked at host level, just dont display ANYWHERE.
again, need root.
so lots to love about rooting and androids,

Things were a lot different in 2010 when the iPhone 4 came out.

one of the reasons I will die holding a Android phone.
Why? Waiting for a page to load?

And yet you couldn’t use it?

That’s the point. Android is shoehorned into your phone so you need to tinker with it to make it work properly.

I’d rather my phone works the way it’s meant to out of the box thanks.

I couldn't understand why anybody would buy this?
I could use it, a Gorilla that escapes from the Zoo could use it, but I kept on reminding myself this cost almost the same as 10 Android Phones,
yes has LESS capabilities.

so why would anybody buy it? makes no sense.

I mean honestly, is it like people who love cats, some people can never understand why you would love a cat,
where I come from they are pests, but even there, there were people that got upset when you tried to drive them away.
I guess thats Apple vs Android debates, like Cat and Dog people.

different strokes for different folks.
just make sure to mortgage the house when something goes wrong on it.
or the great Apple arbitrarily decides its too old, and you need to buy another,

or an update breaks it, just buy another, pointless complaining,
Apples Business model isn't to fix the problem,
its to sell you another phone.
