Good bang for buck! The HiSense brand is very underated. Its like Vizio in the States. Good price. Get a chromecast while you at it.
Better colours than my old Sammy
So I'd be looking for a 50-60" LCD I guess. Any advice?
The biggest and highest range you can afford.
Remember that LCD screens are glossy too nowadays, though less so than plasma.
Why not get the PA60H5000 60" FHD plasma at less than R10,000 and invest in some curtains with the balance?
LOL. I have pretty thick curtains - unfortunately ANY light that seeps in shows up on the surface, it's just that glossy.
Out of interest - where is that model available for less than 10k?
Went with it. Last day of the special. Is this a good deal?

Yeah me too, went to check it out over the weekend and it looked good
Netflix has a few shows in 4k already and it will only increase as they produce their own content. Also 4k upscaling generally won't make your picture look worse. At the very least it will smoothen the picture or make it look better.Would a UHD TV not end up upscaling any 720p / 1080p content? (ie. pretty much anything you watch since there's hardly any 4K content out there)
Would that not end up looking worse than a 1080p display?
That would be a bit small for a lounge area. Will this be for a bedroom?
