You need to do a reset on the system.
Press Menu
Go to Support
Go to Self Diagnosis
Press Reset
This will reset the system back to factory settings, with the exception of the network settings.
*This is where that thread comes in to play *
Ensure that you have your network set up for US settings before continuing
Once you start setting up the system again, it will be set for US
I'm not sure about UK, but the same principles apply.
Just DNS settings, no VPN or Proxy required
