Any1 have some tips on booking for a Learners Test?
PTA/Centurion/Krugersdorp?
The call center is useless, they just tell you they have no space. can't even make a booking for next year:confused:

I CC'd studied it... ask Risa.

Passed in 5 minutes flat ;)

Guy was still explaining to the other ppl how to mark stuff and I was done ;)

indeed it is true but ya learners is pretty easy compared to drivers my 2nd learners is next week thursday ^^ my 1st one expired  hehe

Tera if you want the learners tests + answers to study from give me a yell - got em on my email - can forward on to you - pm me.

I don't have a license yet, although I'm 24 :p

I can drive okay'ish in certain cars, but I'm sure I'll have enough time to learn properly.

Do any of you know of a website where I can learn all the required information for the learners license test?

I've got a cd here with a small program which I'm going to use and there is a K53 book here somewhere, but I dislike the K53, it's irritating, not very explanatory and I studied out of it early last year and failed the first learners test I wrote.

I'd appreciate any help and especially the resources I need.

Thanks a lot ;)

Thanks bro, appreciate it, but like I said earlier, I'd like to study it the correct way in order to "remember" it. I'll forget it and be a hazard on the road if I just do it test based, without learning it all ;)

I haven't booked a date yet. I feel this time around, I'll get the correct knowledge and then decide on a booking date. The traffic department over here is also filled to the max with bookings, but usually you get a place if you just wait a week or so later. I'm in no hurry, don't even have a car yet.

I'm weighing whether to get a bike or car (I'm leaning towards car though)

Edit: oh yes, I really dislike that book, Yield is one of the things I couldn't get, as well as the physical road markings

Tera, if you haven't decided whether to get a bike or car, or think you might change your mind later, I'd advise you to do the learners for both - you pay a bit extra, and you fill in all the sections on the learners (there's a section that you do regardless, then a section on vehicle-specific stuff - normally you'd do the car or the bike one, but you would do both).

If you don't, and later want to get the licence you didn't get this time, you have to go through the entire learners process again.

Well you will learn since there are about 8 tests - so you have to study them all - you arent guarenteed of what test you will get - so its the same as studying from a book - it just helps you to know what terminology they use and how they phrase things - or thats how I found it anyhow.

8 Tests? There only 3! Paper A, B and C...

Thanks for the info CathJ, I'll decide what I'd like to do soon ;)

Ciao

Yep only A B and C, i learnt from the papers, i didnt study them of by heart just learnt the type of questions they asked, and used a k53 book for signs n stuff, but its pretty simple/logical (most of it).

Now i just need to start going for lessons since i get my car in oct.

I was getting a booking, and then one day they told me I could get an emergency booking for the next day at one of the places with the electronic testing (Langlaagte), so I had 14 hours to study haha...That yellow book is _THE BEST_ .. (Pass your learners easy)

Now I need a drivers booking :x

Did the call center tell you this?
So they do it electronically?
Where is Langlaagte?, have heard of it.

I want to know, when you have a learners, where can the person with a licence sit?
Next to you, but where in the back?

And when you have a learners and drive the car, may you have more than just the one person in the car?
