Thats rubbish, the ONLY restriction on a learners is that you must have someone with a drivers license sitting nnext to you or directly behind you.

Well I have my learners and thats what it said in the test, so thats what I do.
So where does your sister stay? :D

Sorry for such a late reply :p

The call center told me they had an emergency booking available at Langlaagte. Its in Roodepoort, sorta...You drive along Main Reef road towards JHB city center, and then its there :P

Im writing at 10:30. Better get some sleep then. Just finished watching the liverpool match.the test looks vrek easy. Wish me luck:)

I finally bought the book I needed (didn't have cash previously). I will get it at the post office next week.

You don't need the question papers. The learners test learning book thing is all you need really. It's not hard at all.
 
i'm going for my bike learners and my truck learners in 1.5 weeks and i have no idea what to study for the truck learners :eek: does anyone have an idea ???

You know that other book is actually all you need. I know you dont like it because they dont explain much but if you just go through the tests in there you will pass because they ask the same things when you write. Only difference is they only ask 28 road rules questions, 28 road signs questions and 8 car control questions.

Saw this at the trafic department...dont know how good it is though

The truck learners (Code 10) is exactly the same as the car learners (Code 8). The only difference is in the first section where you have to name the different parts of the vehicle i.e. Steering wheel, clutch, brake, accelerator, wipers etc etc. The same goes for the bike learners. (the test is divided into 3 sections...if you fail ONE section you fail the whole thing. So make sure you know your parts!)

Most Learners books cover all three licenses, Bike, Car and Truck. There are different truck licenses though...the boys who mess around with those double trailer monsters that annoy me on the freeway do a different license.

I did a Code 10 when i got my license...there isn't any parallel parking.:D and you're allowed to drive trucks and ANY enclosed vehicle smaller than that :cool:

ah thanks a lot :) shouldn't be to difficult than :p i've driven a motorbike before, and a frind of mine, her boyfriend has a lot of trucks and he said i can come and he will teach me how to drive a truck :)
