Least Cost Routing

Hi,

With all the changes in the Telecoms industry - Is Least Cost Routing via Premi-Cell type devices still Viable? I know Telkom have a Cell Saver option as well.

Since Cell coverage is poor in our area, I'd prefer to explore other options if they're cost-effective.

LCR Viable

Hi Craig,
Yes, LCR services are not only viable but will be with us for a while to come. However, as you correctly state, if the signal strength in your area is already weak, using LCR for business purposes will at the least be frustrating. The GSM providers can upgrade the area, but need a good business case (lots of cell traffic potential) to get it sorted.

LCR
VoIP
Telkom - Supreme Call & Cell Saver
Your own call pattern profile should determine which of the above best suit your business needs as each of the offerings have their own pro's & con's.

Is it possible to cancel a LCR contract after 24 months (equipment already paid for) and install you own SIM cards?

Yes, LCR servics are usually contracted for 24 months. However, check the small print. Technically speaking you can install your own, just bear in mind that you are the SP, thus any support or billing queries are on your head!
