LEaving for OZ

Shocking. I wouldn't go there. They can keep their sheep and horrid accents.

Gawd, you want to hear a saffer accent after a few years out of the country. Makes an aussie accent sound posh.

Australia is not my preferred choice either.

I was thinking of emigrating but too many Brits are buying our golf course estates(and other prime real estate), I want to buy myself a nice estate rather and sell it if I need to leave.

Nope - not even top 50 and 51-100 would be pushing it too. Just not a place I'd want to live under any circumstances but as I said - to each their own.

I'd need to see that Top 50 :p Must be some surprises above Aus :D

What's your first choice?
There's always home (US) or my second home (UK) but if I wanted to try someplace new I'd probably head towards the Caribbean.

Sefrikan. Nope Australian accent cuts deep into my ears and kills all.

That is quite petty. After a couple years you wouldn't even notice the accents. Wish to reconsider? :D

Why you in SA?
Do you have an American accent?
Not really - when I'm there it resurfaces and when I'm in the UK I revert to that accent.

Its true - even the SA one is becoming bearable for me now . . . after a decade :p

:D

Dont you have to have a criminal record to get into australia? Stunning country but I for me it would feel like a step backwards. I am sure Ill visit it one day :D

Same here, I would feel the most at home in Silicon Valley US :D

They're always on top of everything.

They've had a few Miss World's I think.;)
Or did u mean Columbia in the US?

Now this line of thinking I like!! If that were the deciding factor, based purely on perceptions and what I have heard but with no first hand experience unfortunately, Czech Republic would be quite high up on my list!

But Columbia has the women and cheap drugs! hmm tough choice! ha ha

U cut out the middle man ;)

Some of you guys have really some daft and ill-informed comments.

That one about the terrain, jeeze like, lol.

Countries i would consider if i had to (excluding OZ), just the usual suspects, really.

France
Canada
England

Let's see. We get about 10x that from Zim each year alone.

They are getting 125 000 highly skilled people a year.

Where will SA be in 20 years? Where will Aus be in 20 years?

So that makes South Africa a more sort after destination than Aus. Hmmm.

You can get all the skilled people you want, but with the global economy we currently live in skills in one part of the world benefit people all over the world anyway.... so no biggie.
