many landlords are on this forum, the only people arguing are those that make up their own facts or simply accuse me of lying

Or of having astounding ignorance at how to comprehend what words actually mean.

Don't worry, I'm now presuming English isn't your first language...

And that is really the question I've had all along.

It's almost as if he wants people to argue with him...which goes hand in hand with the situation he finds himself in.

Think you've got it spot on. He's bored, probably lonely, and wants to appear superior (to who or what? I have no idea) while at the same time arguing for the sake of arguing. Though he's very happy to claim people are trolls and walk away from any argument he starts losing.

He used to be humorous (i.e. Monza thread), now it's just a bit sad really.

Inb4 saturnz calls me a troll and/or think I'm obsessed with him.

well you don't really have any evidence to back up the claim, its simply your opinion

when I lose an argument the best is to walk away (why continue?), I don't call people liars though or make up facts on the spot to support my point

So why don't you just accept when you've made a mistake, say thanks to the person who pointed it out, correct the mistake and carry on as before, having learnt something for the future?

did you provide a correction, you just ranted about why the word I used was wrong?

and why accuse me of lying?

and just to confirm, out of the entire letter, you have a problem with one word?

I see you're still just in the argumentative mood where you're making up facts to suit your argument..

Where's the rant?

Out of interest, why have you described the interaction as litigating? It's seems a strange choice of word for what isn't litigation...

Followed by

So how is the argument at the house between you and the people litigation?

You seem to have a funny idea of what constitutes litigation, neither your argument at the house nor your email are litigating.

Litigation may follow if the dispute goes down legal channels, but it isn't anything of the sort at this stage.

Still no rant...

And then BANG, you hit the rant button with your next reply.

Edit

and why accuse me of lying?

You may also want to re-read that post as well, I said it's either a lie or the call taker you spoke to also didn't understand the meaning of the word. You decided that it was the former...

well you are still here aren't you?

You pop up in my subscribed threads now, maybe I'm just an eternal optimist thinking that one day you'll accept you were wrong in your manner of reply and apologise...

I pointed out the usage was wrong, I didn't think it was necessary to also suggest you needed a commonplace word like "argument", "altercation" or even just "angry discussion" as a replacement.

but you don't know how constructive criticism works I guess

I honestly thought you would be able to find a more suitable word yourself, you seem to think I had an extremely low view of your ability which I didn't.

the usage is not wrong, it is in your opinion wrong, and your suggestions do not really appeal to me

Your link

:crylaugh:
lol

Your link completely backs up what I've said. Or are you now saying that your altercation and argument with the mother and daughter was in court?

so you ignore

"dispute"
"contest"

are you aware words can have multiple meanings?

The use of dispute or contest would be in the context of legal action in that usage.

Or if you have a dispute with someone in a bar you'd consider that litigation?

You really are just clutching at straws and looking more ignorant with every pathetic attempt to somehow vindicate your incorrect usage.

this is a really stupid comparison which I already responded to, so now I'm arguing with someone with a short term memory
