LG G4

Anyone else been having weird issues with unlocking the phone or using Smart Lock.
Mine behaves really strange, like it unlocks but then nothing is displayed, almost like it's still locked and sometimes it take me entering my pin asa double tap and locks the phone again.

When I had mine, smart lock was very hit and miss.... more miss.

I have had no issues with smart lock.

I have also done the factory reset thing. yesterday was the first day on the fresh run, but I had abnormal use. 3 YouTube videos at work, and a lot of phone calls, so it was not a good day to post results.

I have now disabled the log files again, left it enabled after the reset.
so maybe by Monday I will have a better idea if my battery is sorted or not.

My smart unlock using location(low accuracy mode) works great, does have a little odd behaviour from time to time but 95% of the time it works as it should.

Overnight, 8 hours on airplane mode, no radios active, but phone left on. Lost 3%.
I haven't tried that yet.

Here is another screenshot of my SOT. This was yesterday.

That's tops. So there's no apps waking your phone. It's just the radios that are draining the most battery on idle.

Come to think of it, that screenshot was taken last night at 23:32 and the battery was on 7%.

When I woke up this morning at 5:30 it was on 6%. Phone on standby mode. All radios still on.

That's 1% in 6 hours.

I will try the all radios off tonight. That will be interesting.

And it's been 15 minutes since this post and I've lost 6% in that time. Lying in bed, screen on auto (sitting at 4% brightness) and catching up with stuff, various forums, news, FB, emails.

That's some serious drainage.

I was thinking earlier of factory resetting my phone just to see what happens but I think I'm gonna leave it just the way it is.

Battery and Firmware has settled perfectly.

It is! Another 4% since that post. Getting very gatvol of this shyte now. Will go through all the effort of downgrading back to LP on the weekend. I'll then try get the local MM kdz from lg bridge and do a refurbish update with lg up. That'll be my last resort before I make it lg's problem.

How's your battery charge patterns?

Do you ever use any charger besides your original LG charger?

Do you ever charge your battery even though it's not at least lower than 10%?

Anything else you can think of when it comes to charging?

Always use the original charger except a 2amp car charger (Vodafone brand) very infrequently in the car. Sometimes above 10%, maybe 20% of the time but I'm guessing.

What network sim are you using.

Car charger for me is a no go. I just don't trust it.

I know that the techies say that you can charge your battery anytime, even if you are on like 50% and plugging it in and unplug it again on about 70% for example. I call that BS.

If tried that before and believe me, it takes about 3 full charge cycles to repair the "damage" it causes to my battery time.

I never charge my phone when it's above 10% except for a emergency. And also never take it off charge unless it's fully charged.

Battery theory aside, I didn't experience this on LP at all.

I spoke to some one during a private chat he told me that logd is network logging. On my Telkom sim batttery didn't last more than 10hrs. Now switched to mtn 24 hrs on standby all radios on and gps on high accuracy and on 40% with 2hrs of SOT

Just to compare.

Battery was at 100%. Used it for about 25min and took screenshot as soon as it went down to 99%.

Thats 1% in about 30min with 25min SOT.
