Is this bootloop a ongoing thing or is it intermittend??

After a few attempts and leaving my phone off for a hour or so, I switched it on again and it boot and load perfectly.

Kept it on for about 30minutes and then restarted it and it boot and load perfectly again.

when my phone experienced it, it was not intermittent... got it to boot up once... and then it started vibrating on full for about 20sec, and then went back to bootloop.

Whichever way it goes you'll have to hang on till it goes full Pete tong, else you'll book it in and they'll keep it for 2 weeks and then "no problem found" only for it to go totally tits up 2 days after getting it back.....

And I take it you lost all your data?

No worries with boot loop, LG fixes them no questions asked if you have proof of purchase.

I installed gsm battery and ampere from the data I took down manually. When my data is on the battery drain fluctuates from 1200 mA to 30 mA. While if on wifi it averages around 240 mA.
Also gsm battery states that system/logd is taking most of the battery drain out of all the apps running.

Sigh, this just happened to me this morning. Looks like it's stuffed.

What qualifies as "proof of purchase"? I doubt I have a till slip still laying about anywhere, probably have the original box though.

If it's a contract phone, a copy of your contract will do.

You can also get a reprint from the shop you bought it at...

i'm thinking now... can't remember that vodacom asked me for any kind of proof of purchase when i took mine in for repairs... :wtf: very strange

Vodacom usually doesn't ask for proof of purchase.

Cell C didn't ask me when I used them once way back with a BlackBerry 9790.

MTN is very fussy with that... They won't book a phone in without it. What you can do is go to an advanced repair center and they might reprint the slip for you. They did that when I had an issue with an Xperia Z I bought secondhand.

You got your phone back yet?

No it's been in now for the past 10days, no call from Vodacom yet with an update, tried calling them but no answer on the phone number and it's at Cresta repair centre.
