LG G4

There are bags that have loops for the cords of powerbanks and headphones. Pretty cool.

So after my entire start again process with MM, I had a dead battery after 7 hours today and 70 minutes screen time.

I'm now on 77% battery after one hour and 40 minutes after a full charge and 40 minutes 17 seconds screen on time.

I'm officially over my G4...

Can you go back to Lollipop?

I'm still on Lollipop and to be on the safe side I'm not going to upgrade, always weary of *.0 releases, hopefully a newer Mm will be released officially that will iron out a few bugs.

Your battery is wasted. You need to refurbish it. 3 to 4 charge cycles should restore it's capacity.

Drain until phone dies.
Remove battery
Replace and switch on phone.
IF it goes on, repeat until phone does not go on.
Fully charge until 100%. Overcharge for 30min.
Remove battery
Replace and switch on phone.
Connect charger again for about 30min.

Repeat all the steps for about 3 to 4 full cycles.

Thanks for all the tips, advice and humour. I'm certainly suffering from a sense of humour failure about this :)
I'm currently away on business until Thursday and can't afford to do the battery conditioning now but will attempt when I'm back home and have more flexibility with letting a phone die during the middle of the work day.

If that doesn't work I'll definitely go back to LP for good.

Hey guys.

I've got a weird issue with my G4. It started about a month ago (when I was still on Lollipop), the phone would randomly freeze for about 10 seconds and then reboot. After updating to MM it stopped for a while and then started again. I performed a factory reset and data wipe and the issue disappeared for quite a while. It started up again this week.

I can't find a pattern, sometimes Maps cause a freeze, sometimes not. Same goes for Whatsapp, Facebook, SMS etc. Phone calls seem to trigger it a lot.

I took the phone to Vodacom and the staff member at the Tygervalley store basically told me, not much they can do and that I have to flash the phone "in such a way that I don't lose warrantee" but he told me that booking the phone in would be futile as they will just re-flash it and I can do it myself. I walked out quite an unhappy panda but whatever.

Any tips on reflasing with the stock firmware without having to root/unlock bootloader etc? Or any advice on just fixing the reboot issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried another SIM card?

I'm getting this MM update request every day now, but am still not sure if I want to update after reading about some guys with power problems - any way to stop the phone asking me to update?

You can kill the update checks and notices using Debloater. Check XDA
